![]() Mexico 2009 Digital Projection 101 Minutes In Spanish with English subtitles Director, Producer: Juan Carlos Martin Screenplay: Pablo Soler Frost Principal Cast: Andres Almeida, Hector Arredondo, Elena de Haro Print Courtesy: Catatonia Films A view from the other side of the border, 40 Dias reverses our conventional perceptions by sending three Mexicans on a ragged but right tour of the U.S, from Texas to New Orleans to Washington to New York and back west and south. Yet 40 Dias is not a tale of two countries, but rather one of three people, on the road, where their lives are as open as the landscape. Andrés, El Pato and Ecuador, two men and a woman, bored or running away from their lives in Mexico City, travel by car from Mexico to New York and from there to Tijuana. During those forty days they discover that the outward voyage becomes also an inward trip in this deceptively simple, smartly shot road movie. |
