Love Letter to the Fog is a meditation on fog, grief, and the sublime in San Francisco.  Sam Green will narrate and cue images in person while The Quaver (with Brendan Canty from Fugazi) will perform a live score.  For Greetings on Behalf of the People of Our Planet!  Green and sound artist Dave Cerf create a “live documentary” using the materials of the “Golden Record,” a collection of photographs, natural sounds, and music compiled by astronomer Carl Sagan for a time capsule inside the unmanned interstellar Voyager Spacecraft.

This one-of-a-kind performance will be held Saturday, July 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Waterville Opera House and is a follow-up to Green’s internationally-acclaimed live film The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller, a collaboration with the band Yo La Tengo, and his film Utopia in Four Movements, which premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and screened at MIFF in 2010. Tickets to this event are $15 and will go on sale at on June 24, 2013.
