Waterville, Maine —The Maine International Film Festival (MIFF), Maine’s oldest, largest, and most-beloved film festival, is pleased to launch its new website (www.MIFF.org) in advance of this year’s 21st annual event. The new MIFF website includes a mobile-first, smartphone-friendly platform, allowing Festival attendees to take full advantage of the free downtown Waterville WIFI to access the Festival program by phone while anywhere downtown. The website also features an easy-to-use ticketing system for the Festival, helpful links to information about previous years’ programs, and includes video highlights of the MIFF experience.
In addition to providing mobile users with a convenient resource during the Festival, the new website offers those planning to stay in Waterville during MIFF guidance on lodging, restaurants and other area attractions. The new MIFF website was made possible through a Tourism Enterprise Marketing Grant awarded to the Maine Film Center by the Maine Office of Tourism.
“This new website provides our Festival-goers with ease of access to information about all the events happening at MIFF and points of interest in the Central Maine area,” said Festival Director Mike Perreault. “We’ve been planning to update our website to better serve our international audience for some time and are grateful for the financial support provided by the Maine Office of Tourism, as well as our partners at Anchour, who performed the rebuilding work. This new website provides grounding to expand on our mission of enriching, educating, and entertaining the community through film and art, and really promotes MIFF as a must-attend event for summertime guests visiting Maine.”
Festival passes are now on sale on the MIFF website at http://www.miff.org/. As the Festival draws near, the featured films, special guests and events will be announced, and tickets will be made available for purchase online. The 2018 MIFF program is expected to be released in late June.
